At least 25 persons were injured as activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) locked into a clash on Dhaka University campus on Tuesday morning.

JCD activists claimed that BCL men attacked them when they brought out a procession from Central Shaheed Minar around 10am as part of their central programme.

Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moudud Hawladar confirmed the matter. 

He said some people were injured in the incident and were undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital.

Dhaka Medical Police Outpost in-charge (inspector) Bachchu Mia said about 20 to 25 people were being treated at the hospital in connection with the clash, but none of them were serious.
