KISHOREGANJ: Three policemen among six people were injured in a fierce clash in Bhairab of the district on Monday morning.

The injured are Bhairab Thana Officer-in-Charge Alamgir Hossain, Assistant Sub-Inspector Habibur Rahman, Sub-Inspector Mizanur Rahman, Sharif, Kawsar and Mamin.

Witnesses said that a procession was brought out in Rafiqul Islam Mahila College road at around 05:30am and police protested them which triggered a clash, leaving six people including three policemen injured.

Meanwhile, police fired six rounds tear shells and rubber bullets to bring the situation under control.
