As former Prime Minister and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia suffered a heart attack, the medical board concerned decided to go for a coronary angiogram at the Evercare Hospital at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital.

Medical Board constituted for her treatment said she needs better treatment following the heart attack, said Prof Dr AZM Zahid Hossain.

He said the board requested family members of Khaleda Zia to take her abroad for treatment.

Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir urged the country’s people to pray for her speedy recovery.

The party chief had a ‘routine’ health check-up at the private hospital on April 6.

Khaleda Zia has been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung and eye problems.
