Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque hoped that all parties would join the national polls as the country has the environment for fair elections.
On Sunday (July 24), the Law Minister made the remark in response to questions from journalists at the inauguration ceremony of the newly-constructed Chief Judicial Magistrate Court building in Rangamati virtually from the Secretariat in the capital.
The Minister also said, “We will wait to hear what the Election Commission will say after the dialogues with the political parties.”
When asked about the position of the government regarding the upcoming elections, Anisul Haque said that the position of the government is not a big deal, the outcome of the ongoing dialogues of the commission with the parties is more important.
The minister also said that the judiciary system is independent, if this building is constructed, the judiciary will be able to do its work without depending on others.
After coming to power, the Awami League-led government took up the project to build infrastructure, he said, adding, already 33 Chief Judicial Magistrate Court and Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Buildings have been constructed and handed over.
"We are going to inaugurate the 34th Chief Judicial Magistrate building at Rangamati," the minister added.
