Police filed a case against 23 leaders and activists of Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal (JCD) and Jatiotabadi Jubo Dal in connection with the clash of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jubo League with police on August 12 that left 25 people injured in Feni.
Feni model police station SI Siraj Mia filed the case late on Friday (August 13).
Nizam Uddin, officer-in-charge of the police station confirmed the matter today.
On August 12, BCL and Jubo League allegedly attacked Feni BNP procession leaving at least 15 people injured.
This incident happened when Feni district BNP leaders staged a protest rally following the increase in daily commodities and fuel prices.
According to eyewitnesses, a procession around 3:30 pm by the district BNP from Islam Road in the city was coming towards Zero Point on Trunk Road, when Chhatra League and Jubo League activists chased BNP activists.
Later, police fired 10/12 rounds of rubber bullets to bring the situation under control, said, eyewitnesses.
