The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday filed a petition with the High Court seeking cancellation of former Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat's bail in a graft case.

An HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khijir Hayat fixed Tuesday for the hearing on the petition. 

Advocate Khurshid Alam, a counsel of the anti-graft body, filed the petition to High Court this morning.

On October 6, 2019, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Samrat following a countrywide crackdown on illegal casinos. 

After being imprisoned for around three years, Samrat was released on bail on Monday night. 

On Friday (Aug 26), he paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Friday (August 26).
