BNP-AL men clash in capital's Mirpur

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has alleged that members of the ruling party, its alliances, and law enforcement forces attacked their procession in the capital's Mirpur.

BNP organised the protest procession as part of their programme against the price hike of essential commodities, fuel, and transport fares, unbearable load shedding, and the death of Noor Alam, Abdur Rahim, and Shaon.

The incident took place on Thursday (Sep 15) near Mukul Fauj field area at Mirpur No. 6.

The leaders of BNP said that law enforcement forces fired tear shells at the procession towards the assembly of BNP near Popular Diagnostic Center of Mirpur No. 10. In response, the activists also threw bricks and stones.

However, there is no information about injuries or arrests following the incident.

BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said that the police attacked and fired tear gas at the procession.
