The ICC World Cup 2023 trophy arrived in Dhaka last night for its three-day tour from August 7 to 9 as part of the official trophy tour.
The trophy will be taken to the iconic Padma Bridge today for an official photoshoot at its Service Area 1, Mawa End, at 3:00pm.
On August 8, the trophy will be placed at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium for its display for the national men’s and women’s teams alongside current and former cricketers, cricket officials, organisers, and members of the media from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
However, on the final day of the tour, the trophy will be kept at the Bashundhara City Shopping Mall, Panthapath, Dhaka, for display among the masses from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
The marquee competition will kick off in Ahmedabad on October 5 with the match between defending champions England and New Zealand.
Bangladesh will commence its campaign against Afghanistan in Dharamshala on October 7.
