Bangladesh need 73-run to win

DHAKA: Bangladesh smashed all wickets of Afghanistan and set to start innings with 73-run target to win the first qualifying match in the first round of the ICC World T20 on Sunday afternoon.

Earlier, Tiger’s Captain Mushfiqur Rahim has won the toss and invited Afghanistan to bat first.

Gulbadin Naib scored highest 21 runs.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan bagged two wickets while and Abdur Razzak took two wickets. Mashrafe Mortaza took the first wicket with the first ball of the innings.

Besides, both the teams are playing with the threat of elimination hanging over their heads since only one team will qualify from Group A of the World T20`s first round.

Afghanistan have already taken the upper-hand by beating the home side in the Asia Cup earlier this month, and have been talking up this exact phenomenon at every opportunity.
