London: Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul is likely to miss the rest of the test series against England after sustaining a torn hamstring in the second test at Edgbaston on Saturday.
"Umar has gone to hospital for an MRI and we will know later today how long he will be out for but he will not play again in this game," Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed told Reuters.
Gul sustained the injury while attempting to run into bowl. Pakistan also have left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz on the tour and he would be the likely replacement for Gul should he not recover in time for the third test at The Oval starting on Aug 18.
