Tigers’ continue fight back

DHAKA: Bangladesh resumed their second innings with 269 runs and seven wickets remaining in the second Test against New Zealand at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday morning.

Mominul Haque and Shakib Al Hasan were on crease with 126 runs and 32 runs respectively.

The match was delayed due to wet out field in the morning and the play started at 10:30am.

Earlier, Mominul Haque’s ton helped the host team to take 114 runs lead at stumps on day-3 in the second innings.
 
Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque and Marshall Ayub scored 70, 22 and 9 runs before returning to pavilion.

Earlier on the Thursday, visiting New Zealand took 155 runs lead into the match scoring 437 runs for all wickets in 140 over.

Williamson scored 62, Taylor 53, Anderson 116 before going back to pavilion. Shakib Al Hasan bagged five wickets.

Earlier, Bangladesh lost all wickets to score 282 runs in 74.5 over in the first innings.

Tamim Iqbal, Mominul Haque and Marshal Ayub scored 95, 47 and 41 runs respectively.

N Wagner bagged five wickets, Sodhi three while Anderson and Boult got one wicket each.
