DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday inaugurated ‘Bijoy Ekattor’, the newly built student dormitory of Dhaka University, on Thursday morning.

The eleven-storied hall for students is the largest hall in country’s educational institutions where one thousands students can accommodate.

Later, the premier laid foundation stones of Shaheed Abul Khayer Bhaban for young teachers, MBA Bhaban (Eastern wing), Bangabandhu tower for fourth class staffs and residential building for senior teachers.   

Meanwhile, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, University Grant Commission Chairman professor Dr AK Azad Chowdhury, Dhaka University vice-chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique and others were present in the inaugural ceremony.
