Probe body on DU students-docs clash

DHAKA UNIVERSITY:  The Dhaka University (DU) authorities formed a four-member probe committee to investigate into the clashes between its students and the intern doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

DU proctor M Amzad Ali formed the committee headed by the assistant proctor (science faculty) Professor Sheikh Aftab Uddin at 8:00pm Tuesday.

The other members are Professor Abdur Rahman, Professor Masudur Rhaman, and resident teacher of Shahidulllah Hall of the university.

Proctor M Amzad told banglanews24.com, “The committee has been asked to prepare the report by taking elaborate interviews of the hall student and the hospital doctors.”

“Problems, to be revealed in the report, will be discussed with the hospital authorities to avoid untoward situation in future,” he added.

The students and the intern doctors locked into clashes on Tuesday.
