DHAKA: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will hold a meeting with educationists, intellectuals and other noted persons of the country on June 11 to finalize to-do list to prevent leaking of question in the public examinations.

The minister will also discuss about the progress in the education sector of the country in the last five years and the challenges in impending years. 

An official of the ministry confirmed the matter to banglanews on Tuesday.

He also said there are 52 people, including Professor Anisuzzaman, Dr Zafar Iqbal, Abdullah Abu Sayeed, Zillur Rahman Siddiqui, Ajay Roy, Professor Zamilur Reza Chowdhury, Sirajul Islam Chowdhury, Mesbahuddin, Muntasir Mamun and MM Akash with whom the minister will discuss the matter.

The initiative came after a sit-in programme of noted writer and educationist of the country Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal with many guardians and students.

Dr Zafar Iqbal also wrote articles on papers and news portals in this connection.

On April 10, Education Ministry formed a highly powerful investigation committee postponing the exam of English (II) of the Higher Secondary Certificate of 2014.
