DHAKA: UNESCO has upgraded International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka from third category to second category.

The UN organization for education, science and culture recently made this updradation.

Cabinet secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan made this disclosure to the media after a cabinet meeting on Monday.

He further said the cabinet also expressed its happiness on Bangladesh Bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman’s accolade of ‘Central Bank Governor of the Year 2015 for Asia’.

According to the secretary the cabinet nodded at the proposal of passing Money Laundering Prevention (Amendment) ordinance to a law.
