23 lakh students appearing for JSC, JDC exams

DHAKA: As many as 2,325,933 students are set to appear for the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations on Sunday.

Of them, some 1,967,447 students are appearing for the JSC examination while 358,486 students in JDC.

1,243,263 students are female out of the total 2,325,933 students in the two exams.

This year the examinations will be held at 2,627 centers, including eight aboard. The examinations will end on November 18.

Education minister Nurul Islam Nahid will visit Motijheel Ideal School center.

At a press conference at his secretariat office on Thursday, the minister said that students with disability would get 20 minutes extra time. 

Students with visual impairment, difficulties with their hands, and victims of cerebral palsy will get amanuenses while students with autism or Down syndrome will get 30 minutes extra time, he added.
