DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon has withdrawn his name from the student representative of Dhaka University (DU) Senate.

The leader has already lost the post of the president of Bangladesh Chhatra League on the charge of extortion.

On Monday (September 16), he has sent an application to the Vice-Chancellor of the university Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman regarding the matter.

Chhatra League's office secretary Ahsan Habib took the application to the Vice-Chancellor's office.

In the application, he also mentioned that it is not possible to serve the Senate for personal reasons.

Asked about this, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman told Banglanews, "I have received an application in this regard. The meeting concerned will decide according to the rules.
