DUCSU seeks PM’s step against BCL torture DUCSU VP speaking at the march

DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Dhaka University Central Students' Union Vice-President Nurul Haque Nur sought Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s announcement directing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) to stop torture on common students.

DUCSU VP came up with the call at Raju Memorial Sculpture on Dhaka University campus after completing a mass march on foot, demanding exemplary punishment for the killers of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

DUCSU VP said: “BCL observed a mourning rally, but this is not their activity. We say, prime minister give a declaration so that no general students fall victims of torture by BCL.”

In response to a question posed by reporters, the VP said: “I did BCL nurturing Bangabandhu’s ideals, but when I saw, one is to work against the interests of general students, I quit BCL. No one expelled me from BCL. That BCL is a face of terrorism, the whole country, the world have witnessed.”
