Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said the government will come up with a decision soon on whether to extend the ongoing closure of educational institutions or to reopen education activities in limited scale for some classes. 

The decision will be made public within tomorrow or the day after that, she said.

The minister said this while addressing a virtual discussion on survey related to online education during the coronavirus pandemic on Wednesday. 

Earlier on Monday after a regular cabinet meeting, Cabinet Division Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said the decision on reopening the educational institutions will be disclosed within few days.

On March 16, the Ministry of Education issued a press release regarding the government decision of closing all educational institutions and coaching centres from March 18 to 31 in wake of Covid-19 outbreak.
 
Later the closure was extended till November 14 in several phases. No classes have been held since that day.
