The Principal of Azimpur Govt Girls' School and College was suspended for keeping the classroom unclean.

Besides, the school monitoring team led by the Principal has also been suspended temporarily.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni suspended them during a visit to the Azimpur Government Girls School and College in Dhaka.

As students are returning to classrooms for the first time in almost a year and half, she warned of stern actions against school authorities for not ensuring hygiene rules.

Schools and colleges across the country reopened on Sunday (Sep 12) after 542 days of closure due to pandemic and coronavirus restrictions.

The Minister said a control room has already been set up at every districts for monitoring the cleanliness of the schools and colleges.
