The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin across the country on December 2, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Thursday.

A total of 13,99,690 students will take part in this year’s examinations, she said at a press conference held at her office in Dhaka. 

Dr Dipu Moni also said the HSC examinations will continue till December 30. 

All coaching centers will remain closed from November 25 to January 3 to ensure smooth conduct of examinations, she added.

Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Technical and Madrasah Education Division secretary Aminul Islam Khan and Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education DG Professor Dr. Syed Md. Golam Faruk, among others, attended the press conference.
