JU teachers go on strike

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY: General Teacher’s Forum expressed solidarity with ongoing teachers strike demanding resign of vice-chancellor of the university Professor Anwar Hossain.

The Somity declared that the strike will continue till the resign of VC.

But, VC Anwar Hossain told banglanews, “The parliamentary standing committee on ministry of education will be requested to take legal action if the teachers don’t stop their movement.”

Besides, all types of necessary steps will be taken as per university act, ordinance and teachers job rules the varsity.

Meanwhile, the teachers stopped all type of academic activities including classes, Paribahan services.

Earlier on Friday, expressing solidarity General Teacher’s Forum Member Secretary Professor Kamrul Ahsan said that Vice chancellor was not working according to the decision of the parliamentary standing committee on ministry of education. So we expressed solidarity with others teachers demanding the resign of Vice chancellor.
