At least nine dengue patients died while 2293 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today (July 24), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 1,238 dengue patients were admitted in Dhaka while 1,055 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital, said the DGHS release.

According to DGHS, this year till today 4,395 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 3,068 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Besides, this year a total 185 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

Last year, a total 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year.
