DHAKA: During winter, your skin feels dry and dull. Apart from using cold creams and moisturizers, eat the following food for soft and supple skin:

Sweet potatoes: Since they are loaded with vitamin A, they have moisturizing and anti-ageing properties that are usually found in your OTC creams. Incorporate sweet potatoes in your daily diet and notice the difference in your skin this winter.

Avocados: If you have a healthy diet and don't consume fatty foods like chips and French fries, your skin can be chapped and dry. A healthy alternative to fatty food would be avocados. They're a rich source of monounsaturated fat, the same kind that helps maintain weight and even improve brain function.

Cucumbers: Because they contain a lot of water, they are one of the most hydrating foods you can eat. They are also very rich in minerals, which help in getting healthy, luminescent skin.

Pumpkin seeds: It is a rich source of minerals like selenium and zinc, which are very important for good skin. Instead of consuming them toasted, eat them raw.
