DHAKA: Physicians at all government hospitals and health centers have been ordered to provide free medical services for four hours on August 15 marking the National Mourning Day.

The services will be given from 8:00pm to 12:00pm at all government medical college and hospitals, specialized hospitals, district and upazila hospitals and union health centers.

The order has been issued by health and family welfare minister Mohammed Nasim on Thursday.

According to the order, doctors were asked to provide free treatment to poor and destitute people at all hospitals and health centers despite that day will be a public holiday.

Health care providers were also asked to give services to general people at community clinics in rural areas.
