KHULNA: Detectives, in a drive, detained four members of brokers’ gang from Sadar Hospital in Khulna on Sunday (Feb 24).

The detainees are Md Shakil, 32, Md Mizanur Rahman, 34, Paritosh Kumar Sikder, 45, and Renuka Moholder, 38.

Tipped off, a team of Detective Branch of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) conducted the drive in and around the hospital and detained the four brokers, said Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu, additional deputy commissioner of KMP. 

The lawmen also seized 389 cards of doctors and diagnostic centers from their possessions. 

“During primary quizzing, we have learned that the detainees have been working as brokers at Khulna Sadar Hospital for long. Legal acting is being taken against them,” Sheikh Moniruzzaman added.
  
Earlier on February 16, detectives detained six members of brokers’ gang from Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialized Hospital.
