Two die of dengue fever at SBMCH

BARISHAL: Two persons reportedly died of dengue fever Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) early on Tuesday (July 30).

The dengue victims are Aslam Khan, 24, son of Nasir Khan of Shyampur area of Bakerganj upazila of Barishal and Sohel, 18, son of Adam Ali of Gosantara area of Kawkhali upazila of Pirojpur district.

SBMCH director Dr Bakir Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Tuesday (July 30) morning.

He said Aslam Khan was admitted to the No.3 unit of the medicine department at SBMC Hospital at around 7:30 pm on Monday (July 29). He died at around 3.15am while undergoing treatment.

On the other hand, Sohel was admitted to the No. 3 unit of the hospital's medicine department at around 1:30 am on Tuesday. He died around 3:45am.
