Dengue death toll reach 5 Tuesday SBMCH

DHAKA: Five persons have so far died of dengue fever in Dhaka and Barishal on Tuesday (July 30).

Two persons died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The victims were identified as Farzana who resided in New Eskaton area in the capital city with her family and Liton Hawlader, 25, son of late Majid Hawlader, of Bauphal upazila of Patuakhali.

Nasiruddin, assistant director of DMCH, confirmed the death of Farzana to Banglanews.  

Meanwhile, two persons died at Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH).

The SBMCH dengue victims were Aslam Khan, 24, son of Nasir Khan of Shyampur area of Bakerganj upazila of Barishal and Sohel, 18, son of Adam Ali of Gosantara area of Kawkhali upazila of Pirojpur district.

SBMCH director Dr Bakir Hossain confirmed the matter to Banglanews on Tuesday (July 30) morning.

Identity of the fifth deceased is yet to be established.
