New physicians to stay for 2-yr at first duty place  State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain

SANGSAD BHABAN: The newly appointed physicians have to stay at their duty place in the upazila for at least two years from the beginning of their services.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said while responding to a supplementary in the House on Thursday (November 14).  

He also said: “The recruitment process of some 4750 physicians through the 39th special BCS is now underway and that’s why the country will reach to a comfortable situation in health care service.”

Nearly 4750 candidates have been successfully passed in the BCS and appointment of these physicians has already been approved at the Public Administration Ministry by the Prime Minister, he said.

He also added that now the appointment of these physicians is waiting for the approval of the President who is now abroad.

Saying that more than 4500 physicians will be given postings at different position across the country and then we will get at least 10 physicians at every upazila, he added that the total recruitment process will complete within at best 15 days.
