Bangladesh today confirmed 26 deaths from coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 8,668.

According to the Health authorities, 1,868 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 568,706.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the update of the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

In the last 24 hours, 219 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 19,900 samples.

Health authorities reported another 1,577 people recovered from the disease in a day, rising the total number of recoveries to 520,118. 

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8 in last year while first death on March 18 in that year.
