DHAKA: Additional police forces had been deployed adjacent to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s political office at city’s Gulshan on Friday evening.

BNP Chairperson’s office sources said additional police was deployed after the announcement of 72-hour hartal by 18-party alliance from the office.

However, on duty Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam told banglanews that police was patrolling the area as their regular responsibility to avert any untoward situation.
