Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain departed Dhaka today for Kampala, Uganda, to attend the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Midterm Ministerial Review Meeting from October 14 to 16.
En route, he will stop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to attend an event at the Bangladesh Embassy before proceeding to Kampala to join foreign ministers and senior representatives from NAM member states.
The three-day meeting, themed “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence,” will review progress on NAM action points, discuss global peace, security, human rights, and the Palestine issue, and adopt key outcome documents to guide the Movement’s agenda ahead of the next summit in Uzbekistan.
