DHAKA: Election Commissioner Shah Newaz on Wednesday said the Election Commission is planning to announce the schedule for the 10th parliamentary election next week.
 
“We will sit in a meeting to discuss the schedule for next parliament elections within a day or two and have a plan to declare the polls date next week,” he said.

Regarding Tuesday’s meeting between EC delegation and President M Abdul Hamid, he said they met with the President to inform him about preparations for the polls.

Shah Newaz also told journalists the President assured them of all out cooperation for holding a free, fair and credible election.
