NOAKHALI: Police recovered dead body of an activist of Jubo League, youth wing of Awami League, from beside a culvert at Nazirpur village under Begumganj municipal of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Azad, 23, son of Akkas Mia, an activist of Juba League hailed from the same village.
Local sources said that after killing him, miscreants dumped his dead body. Locals found Azad’s body lying on the ground at around 7am and informed his family members.

Confirming the matter, Begumganj Thana Officer-in-Charge M. Nazim Uddin told banglanews that the dead body was sent to the Noakhali General Hospital morgue.
