Police have recovered the slit-throat decomposing bodies of a couple and their 12-year-old son from their flat in Savar's Ashulia on Saturday (September 31) night.

The deceased were identified as Moktar Hossain alias Babul, 50, his wife Shahida Begum, 40, and their son Mehedi Hasan Joy, 12. 

Ashulia police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Johab Ali confirmed the matter. 

Being informed, we went to the fourth floor of the six-storey building in Jamgora Fakirbari Mor area at night and recovered their bodies, he added.

According to the locals and police, as stench came from the flat in the evening, the neighbours knocked on the door and found the door open. 

Later, locals saw the dead bodies of the mother and son in the bedroom inside the flat while Moktar's body was in another room. Later they informed the matter to the owner of the house and the police. 

However, none was arrested over the killings.

Babul's brother file a case in this incident, police said.
