Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain to occur at most places over north, south, central and north-eastern region in the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (October 4).

According to the met office bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country. 

Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 33.8 degree celsius at Sayedpur and minimum temperature today was recorded 24.0 degree celsius jointly at Teknaf and Bandarban.

Country's maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded138 mllimeter (mm) at Hatiya.

The low pressure area over Jharkhand and adjoining area persists. The axis of monsoon trough runs through East Uttar Pradesh, central of the low, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
