DHAKA: Gonojagoron Mancha activists will besiege the Pakistan High Commission to Dhaka in Gulshan on Thursday afternoon if the government does not cut diplomatic relations with Pakistan before the end of 20-hour ultimatum.
The protesters confirmed the matter to banglanews on Thursday morning.
Earlier on Wednesday, hundreds of activists of Gonojagoron Mancha gave a 20-hour ultimatum to the government to cut diplomatic relations with Pakistan if the country does not apologise for passing resolution over the execution of war criminal Quader Mollah.
Police create obstruction when protesters paraded through the capital demonstrating against the Pakistan that left three activists injured.
Later, they were taken to United Hospital.
In Chittagong, angry people set fire to the flag of Pakistan in Cheragi Pahar intersection in the port city on Wednesday noon protesting the intervention of internal affairs of Bangladesh over the execution of war crimes convict Quader Mollah.
Meanwhile, they also burnt effigy of Pakistan Minister for Interior Chaudhury Nisar Ali Khan.
An organization named ‘Jege Otho Bangladesh’ arranged the protest rally where people of all walks of life joined the rally in front of Chittagong Press Club in Jamal Khan area.
Later, they brought out a protest procession amid chanting anti-Pakistan slogans.
They, however, burnt effigy of Pakistan minister and flag.
Days after the execution of war crimes convict Quader Mollah, Pakistan passed the resolutions in its national and Punjab provincial assemblies.
