Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Deputy Commissioner (Detective Branch) Harun-or-Rashid said there is no threat of sabotage or mishap during BNP’s General Assembly on October 28.

Harun made the remark during press conference held at DMP media centre in the capital today (October 22).

He said, “I think there have been many mass gatherings of different political parties across the country. No incident occurred during those events. Therefore, there is no possibility of sabotage or mishap ahead of BNP’s General Assembly on October 28.” 

However, Dhaka police will still take security measures taking risk into consideration, he said

DB chief also said security arrangements will be installed from now on in every upcoming mass gathering. “I hope every upcoming mass gatherings will be held beautifully as like happened earlier.”
