Another burn victim succumbs

LAXMIPUR: A truck driver, who sustained burn injures when blockade supporters hurled petrol bomb at his truck, succumbed to his injuries Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ahsan Ullah, 40, son Ahmed Ullah.

Family sources said that on Wednesday (December 18) the victim was going to Comilla with his goods-laden truck and due to blockade he parked the truck beside road and slept. But miscreants  hurled petrol bomb at the truck, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital and then he breathed his last at around 8:30am on the way of Dhaka Medical College Hospital burn unit.

Char Martin Union Parsad Chairman Ali Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Confirming the matter, Kamalnagar Thana Officer-in-Charge Humayun Kabir told banglanews, “Necessary steps has taken to send the vehicle carrying the body to his village safely.”
