Russian ambassador in Dhaka Aleksandr Mantytsky today (December 7) said that some western countries are interfering in the internal issues of Bangladesh.

He made the remark while speaking at the program titled 'Talks with Ambassador' organized by the Freedom Journalist Forum at the National Press club in the capital.

Russian ambassador said in the event that some western countries are interfering in the internal issues of Bangladesh. The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia clarified this on November 22.

He said, “The West is imposing illegal sanctions against Russia. However, Russia does not take these restrictions into account. We only take into account sanctions issued by the UN Security Council.”

When asked regarding Bangladesh’s second satellite launch, Aleksandr Mantytsky said, “Whom Bangladesh thinks is the best partner will go with them, Russia has nothing to say in this regard.”
