Light to moderate rain and thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to occur in several parts of Bangladesh over the next 24 hours, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said in its latest bulletin on Saturday (Sept 20) morning.
The forecast predicts rain or thundershowers at a few places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, with one or two places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions also expected to see similar weather.
The BMD added that moderately heavy falls may occur in some areas across the country.
Day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged nationwide.
The bulletin further noted that monsoon activity is currently less active over Bangladesh but moderate over the North Bay. A low-pressure area is expected to form over the North Bay and adjoining regions around September 24, 2025.
On Friday, Khulna recorded the country’s highest temperature at 36.2°C, while the lowest was 24.4°C in Bandarban. In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 5:57 pm today and rise at 5:47 am tomorrow.
