Rail link has been temporarily halted with Dhaka and rest of the country as a train derailed after being hit by a crane of Dhaka Elevated Expressway on its way to Dhaka railway station.

Dhaka Railway Station Manager Mohammad Masud Sarwar confirmed the matter at 5:30 pm on Thursday (December 7).

He said the incident took place soon after the Titas commuter train left Tejgaon station. The engine of that train was derailed after it was hit by the crane of Dhaka Elevated Expressway.

Soon train will movement will resume, the official added.
