Four people were shown arrested for allegedly smuggling 34 kg of gold in Osmani International Airport of Sylhet.

The identities of the arrestees were not disclosed immediately.

According to Intelligence Agency (NSI) and Customs officials of Sylhet airport 280 gold bars and 6 gold eggs were recovered from their possessions.

An officer in charge of airport customs confirming the matter to Banglanews 

He said the shipment of the gold was recovered from a Bangladesh Biman flight at 8:35 am on Friday (December 8).

The people detained will be quizzed in this regard, the official added.
