CHITTAGONG: At least two people were killed and four others injured in a road accident near Egaromail area at Hathazari upazila in the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Abdus Sabur, 40, Hathazari branch manager of Mercantile Bank and M Hasan, 35, son of Abdul Mannan hailed from Raujan upazila.

Haathazari Thana Sub-Inspector M Razzak told banglanews that a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided head-on near Egaromail area, leaving Sabur and Hasan dead on the spot and injured four others.

Later, the injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
