Child’s slaughtered body recovered in city

DHAKA: Police recovered slaughtered body of a child from slum area under Uttara thana of the capital on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rozina, 7, daughter of Kuhil Uddin hailed from Sirajganj.

Uttara thana (west) Sub-Inspector of police Rejwan Fakir told banglanews that police recovered the body of the child wrap-up with polythene from abandoned room of the Kamarpara Balur matt slum at around 9:30am.

Rozina came out of home after receiving a call of Sumon on Monday evening and went missing. Later, locals found her body lying on the floor of a room in the morning and informed police.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical Hospital for autopsy, the SI added.
