KUSHTIA: A schoolboy was chopped to death by miscreants near Shibpur area under Islamic University Thana of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Raqibul Islam, 15, class VIII student of Ranjitpur High School, son of Riazul Haque of Harinarayanpur union.

Police sources said Raqibul went out from home to know his JSC results on Sunday morning and found dead after two days on Tuesday morning.

Officer-in-Charge of Islamic University Thana Moniruzzamn said that miscreants might have kidnapped and killed Raqibul.

The body was sent to Kushtia General Hospital morgue, he added.
