FENI: Miscreants set fire to seven polling centers in Dagonbhuyan upazila of the district early Friday.

Local sources said that miscreants set fire to Gazaria Ideal Academy of Purba Chandapur union in the upazila at around 1:00am, leaving furniture burnt.

 On the other hand, arsonists set fire to another school named Omarpur Sultana Memorial Girls School and Matubhuyan Government Primary School and fled the scene.

Besides, Hasania Madrasa, Nayanpur Primary School, Bashiria Madrasa Center and Udrajpur Primary School Center were set afire by miscreants.

Later, a fire fighting unit from Feni fire service rushed to spot and doused the fire in some centers and locals doused the fire of others.

The extant of damage was estimated at about TK12 lakhs.

Dagonbhuyan Thana Sub-Inspector of police Anwarul Azim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
