BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel detained some 39 people, including three Indian citizens, from Putkhali border area of the district on Saturday morning.

The detainees were handed over to Benapole Port Thana.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Benapole Port Thana Subir told banglanews that in several drives, 23-BGB Battalion personnel held 39 people, including three Indian citizens, while crossing the border without passports.

They will be produced before the court, he added.
