A man died after being hit by a truck in Kamargaon area of Gazipur City Corporation on Wednesday (May 1).

The deceased identified as Shahadat Hossain Munna, 27. He was an Engineer working on Dhaka-Bypass road development project in Gazipur. 

The accident happened in the Kamargaon area of the Dhaka-Bypass road this morning.

The eyewitnesses said he was on his way to the project office on the Dhaka-Bypass Road in Gazipur. At one point while crossing the Kamargaon area, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit his motorcycle. He died on the spot.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Pubail Police Station of Gazipur Metropolitan Police Humayun Kabir confirmed the matter to Banglanews. 

The body has been recovered from the spot. Besides, the truck involved in the accident has been seized. Legal action is pending in this regard, the officer said.
