The National Directorate of Consumer Rights on Thursday (June 13) in a raid fined Shyamoli NR Travels Tk 20,000 for charging extra fare from the homegoers at Syedabad Bus Terminal in the capital.

The raid was headed by the Assistant Director (Metro) of Dhaka Divisional Office of National Consumer Rights Protection Directorate Abdus Salam and Head Office Assistant Director Paresh Chandra Burman.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, officials of this government supervisory organization conducted an operation at the Syedabad bus terminal from 3:15 to 4:15 in the afternoon to prevent extra fare collection.
